BHS boys batter Wilson in water polo win

TACOMA – The Bainbridge High varsity boys water polo team crushed the Rams during a recent match at Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma.

The final final score against Wilson was 15-1.

Bainbridge was led by senior cocaptain Sam Kapel, who scored six goals.

Sam Chapman, Miles Hogger and Gabe Nathan each chipped in two goals.

Max Eyrich, Marshall Whittlesey and Sky Baird all put up one.

The win on the road elevated the Spartans’ overall season record to a flawless 6-0.

The island squad then returned to Bainbridge for a hectic week at home, hosting Stadium High Monday, Peninsula Tuesday, and Mercer Island Wednesday.

They will next play at home at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, against Gig Harbor, in one of the most hotly anticipated matches of the year.
