BHS boys basketball ends with loss to Nathan Hale

BAINBRIDGE – The first and only postseason outing for the Bainbridge High boys varsity basketball team ended in a 43-39 loss to Nathan Hale Monday, Feb. 5.

The loss ended the island squad’s year, leaving them with a final overall record of 4-17. They failed to win a single conference game (0-15).

Last year’s similar record saw the Spartans finish 4-18, a slight slump from the 2015-16 season which saw the boys notch a 7-15 overall record.

Six senior Spartans will be lost to graduation and not returning to the court next season: Ethan Schulte, Ben Kirsch, Jack Barnes, Joey Terry, Sky Weschler and Charlie Hoberg.
