Roller Hockey

Division 1 play of the week: The Panthers beat the Flyers 8-2 July 24. Sebastian Belkin got a hat trick; Jarrett Reiber had two goals and two assists. Willie Barcott got his first and second goals of the year; Isabelle Cloward got her second of the season, and Nick Nemeth had a shut out through most of the game until five minutes remaining when the Flyers got two quick scores.

Golf

Carl Jonson finished 12th in the boys 15-17 division at the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships July 13-16.

Jonson, who will be a BHS senior this upcoming season, has committed to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He shot a four-round total of 294, 12 strokes behind winner Adam Svensson of Canada.

Summer Golf Scramble

The Chamber Chamber of Commerce’s 14th Annual Summer Golf Scramble is set for Aug. 19 at Wing Point Golf and Country Club. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.

The $110 fee includes cart, green fees, one qualifying try at the $10,000 putting contest, a chance at a hole-in-one valued at $25,000, and more.
