Sports Briefs | Bainbridge's Baker named Metro softball MVP

Softball
Bainbridge dominated the all-Metro teams, nabbing the MVP and 10 overall post-season selections.
Senior pitcher and shortstop Haylee Baker was named MVP, while second baseman Hailey Willmann and outfielder Clara Dunn were named first-team all-league.
Baker (9-1) has thrown three shut-outs with an ERA of 1.76. The senior is batting .425 with 19 RBIs.
Four Spartans were selected to the all-Mountain Division team, while three landed on honorable mention.
First team: Baker P/SS, Willmann 2B, Dunn OF
All-Mountain: Taylor Greenfield 1B, Erin Kinney 3B/OF, Caitlin McCormick C, Lauren Reichert P/3B/SS
Honorable mention: Rosie Kersetter OF, Cali Moore OF, Kristi Worley C
Baseball
Bainbridge senior Mitch Main was selected second team all-Metro. Nick Denny, Aaron Norberg, Cole Rabinowitz, Kyle Schneider and Steven Wellbrock were honorable mention.
