Track and field | Bainbridge's Barreca qualifies for state tournament

Senior Emily Barreca was the first Spartan to advance to the state meet, qualifying as the fourth seed in the 3200-meter at the SeaKing District Wednesday.
Bainbridge will compete in six events in Friday’s district finals.
Willie Wenzlau and Pearl Terry will compete in the 400m, Annie Taylor and Isabel Ferguson in the 800m, as will the 4x400m relay team of Ferguson, Terry, Taylor and Stellmacher.
Cameron Brink will participate in the discus finals while Mark Smith and Drew Wickens both made the high jump finals.
The top four finishers in each event will advance to the 3A state meet Thursday and Friday at Mount Tahoma High School.
