Bainbridge lost to its first league opponent in the Metro tournament semifinals Thursday.

Nathan Hale upset the second-ranked Spartans 3-1. After going undefeated in league play, Bainbridge (19-4) has now lost three of its last four games.

Lauren Reichert (6-3) took the loss, giving up four hits and walking seven.

Bainbridge took the 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but couldn't answer Nathan Hale's three-run rally in the top of the fourth.

The Spartans will play for the third or fourth seed at the SeaKing District Tournament at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
