Second-ranked Bainbridge fell to defending 2B champion Adna High School 5-1 in nine innings Monday.
"These are the games we need to better ourselves for the playoffs," coach Liz McCloskey said.
The score was tied 0-0 through nine.
"We played great defense for eight innings and the youth in our team shined through in the end," McCloskey said. "I was very pleased with the way the girls played."
Lauren Reichert (6-2) had the loss.
The Spartans (19-3 overall, 17-0 in league) will take on Ingraham in the first round of the Metro Tournament at home Wednesday.
The Spartans have one additional non-league game scheduled against Central Kitsap at 3:30 p.m. Monday. The teams have split the series so far this season. Bainbridge won the first contest, 2-1, while Central Kitsap came out on top 4-1 May 7.
