The Spartans (7-12), who are out of the playoff race, finished the season with back-to-back loses to state champion O’Dea by scores of 17-2 and 12-2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

“They went through the learning curve this year,” said coach Jayson Gore. “We should be a lot better next year. We knew we were going to be young – everything that happened is pretty much expected. We just go to keep our heads up and get better.”
