Sports Briefs | Bainbridge softball and baseball trounce Chief Sealth

Softball
Lauren Reichert led the Spartans to a 12-1 win over Chief Sealth Tuesday.
Reichert (4-1) pitched five innings, giving up only five runs and going two-for-three from the plate with two RBIs and a run.
Bainbridge (8-1, 7-0 in Metro) drove in six runs in the bottom of the second, two in the third inning and four in the fifth.
The Spartans get the rest of the week off before playing four games in five days next week starting with an away game at Ingraham Monday.
Baseball
With Bainbridge leading Chief Sealth 10-1, Steven Wellbrock’s RBI double gave the Spartans the six-inning victory Tuesday.
Wellbrock, a sophomore, had hit a two-RBI home run in the bottom the third.
Senior Cole Rabinowitz threw four innings, only giving up one run in the top of the fourth.
The Spartans, who have four games scheduled this week, will take on Lakeside on the road at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The team will return to host Lakeside at 4 p.m. Friday and will take on Central Kitsap at 12 p.m. Saturday.
