Bainbridge basketball: SeaKing District Tournament information for girls and boys

Both Bainbridge teams begin District Tournament play and will compete in loser-out games this week.

Girls basketball

The Spartan girls (10-12) will host the Metro's seventh seed, Lakeside, in the District playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

In the teams' last meeting Jan. 20, the Lions came out on top, 53-41.

Bainbridge, the fourth seed from the Metro, is 7-2 at home this season, with the team's two losses from Cleveland Jan. 13 and Lakeridge.

Boys basketball

The Spartan boys (13-8) advanced to the SeaKing District Tournament as the sixth seed after losing to O'Dea 78-64 Saturday.

They will face Sammamish (14-9), the third seed from the KingCo League, on the road at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Seniors Ryan Burris and Will DiIorio combined for 43 points against O'Dea and both recorded double-doubles. Burris had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and DiIorio added 18 and 10.
