Basketball playoffs: Spartan girls lose to Cleveland

Despite leading by three points going into the fourth quarter, the Spartans were outscored 24-4 in the last eight minutes of regulation, losing to Cleveland 63-46 Thursday.

Senior Rebecca Sharar led with 12 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Cameo Hlebasko scored 11 points.

Sophomore Hannah Depew added 10 points and five rebounds.

The Spartans (10-12) enter the SeaKing District Tournament as the fourth seed from the Metro. Bainbridge will host Lakeside (12-9) or Bishop Blanchet (12-10) in an elimination game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
