Basketball teams begin Metro play

The Bainbridge boys and girls basketball teams begin Metro League competition on the road this week.

The boys team (2-0 overall) competes against Eastside Catholic (1-0 in Metro, 1-1 overall) at 7 p.m. tonight. The team will host top-ranked Rainier Beach at 8 p.m. Friday.

The girls team (1-2 overall) faces Eastside Catholic (0-1 in the Metro, 1-1 overall) at 7 p.m. tomorrow and take on Rainier Beach at 6 p.m. Friday.

Monday, the girls team fell to Mount Rainier 37-29. Kas Totura led with 11 points and Micki Johns added eight rebounds.
