The Spartans responded to the pressure of the playoffs by defeating the Rainier Vikings 34-7 Saturday.

Bainbridge gave the Vikings their worst conference loss of the season, with the only other defeat coming to Nathan Hale in a 21-12 game.

Bainbridge came into the game attempting to rebound from a tough loss to Bishop Blanchet.

With the win, the Spartans enter the district playoffs as the fifth seed. The Spartans will travel to Renton to face off against Lindbergh, the top seed from the Seamount League, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
