SOFTBALL
Spartans playing for league title
The BHS softball team defeated Blanchet 7-1 yesterday, and will face Holy Names today for the Metro League championship. Lindsay Willman went the distance to pick up the win and Chelsie Kakela had three hits.
BOYS SOCCER
Lakeside rallies for win
The boys soccer team gave up two goals in the final 15 minutes to drop a 2-1 decision to Lakeside and finish fourth in the Metro League tournament. The team faces KingCo League runnerup Sammamish tomorrow for the final state berth from District 2.
BASEBALL
BHS faces Franklin today
The baseball team lost 11-2 to Bishop Blanchet in the semifinals of the Metro League tournament. The team faces Franklin today in a loser-out game. If the Spartans win, they will play again tomorrow, likely against Eastside Catholic. A win in that game would secure a spot in the state tournament. Should the Spartans lose, they would play the KingCo runnerup for a spot at state.
