The Bainbridge High School boys and girls basketball teams both lost on Thursday.
The boys were defeated by Seattle Prep, 57-50. Will DiIorio led the Spartans in scoring with 15 points, while Jimmy Baggett had 12 and Ryan Burris added 10.
Lakeside defeated the girls by a 49-35 score, with Brittany Gray scoring 13 points and Anna Wood adding eight.
The teams enter their respective District 2 tournaments as the Metro League's No. 4 seeds, and play loser-out games Tuesday at Paski Gymnasium. The girls will play either Cleveland or Rainier Beach at 5:45 p.m., and the boys face either Cleveland or Nathan Hale at 7:30 p.m.
If the girls win, they would face either Mercer Island or Liberty at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Bellevue Community College.
If the boys win, they would face the KingCo's top seed – likely Bellevue – at 8:15 p.m. Friday at BCC.
