A very Spartan summer: BHS returns to the gridiron for preseason training | SLIDESHOW
Aspiring members of the 2014-2015 Bainbridge High School football team returned to the field recently for their annual preseason summer training regiment.
The routine officially began late last month with a four-day intensive camp, and has progressed to now daily practice sessions designed to improve the players' strength and agility.
It's a comprehensive take on preseason training led primarily by Spartan Strength and Conditioning Coach Tracey Criss.
"We're doing almost an even split weight training and conditioning and agility training," he explained. "We'll spend an hour a day in the weight room, which is pretty much what we dedicated last year. Last year we had about an hour and a half of field time, compared to an hour of weight time."
Review photographer Luciano Marano was on the field Wednesday to capture a preview of this year's football season. See his best shots here, and check out the latest issue of the Review for comprehensive Spartan sports coverage.
