Game 1: Spartans cut down Timberline at state, advance to next round of baseball playoffs | SLIDESHOW

CENTRALIA, Washington - The Bainbridge High varsity baseball team mowed down Timberline High School 2-1 and advanced to the second game of this year's 3A Region III Tournament.

The Spartans were unable to get any runs on the board until the top of the fourth inning. Finally, thanks to a solid hi by pitcher Brett Green, the put up two. It would be the only inning in which Bainbridge brought anyone home, but it would prove enough of a lead to secure the win.

Review photographer Luciano Marano traveled with the team to Centralia, Washington to capture all the action from the postseason double header. His favorite shots from the first game are presented here.
