BAINBRIDGE - Pardon the Eagles if they felt like they had spent the day in a turn-of-the-century blacksmith’s shop.

Lakeside of Nine Mile Falls bore the brunt of a steady pounding as Bainbridge put away the Eagles 9-0 in girls fastpitch softball with a five-inning hit parade.

The Spartans went up 1-0 in the first inning, then tacked on two runs each in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings to shell Lakeside.

Natalie Allen led the Bainbridge barrage with 3-of-4 batting with two doubles and two RBIs. She also had two runs.

Emma Lindsay, also 3-for-4, had a double, RBI and two runs.

Two other Spartans also banged doubles; Deahna King and Megan Spray.

King, who also pitched for the Spartans, finished the contest by going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a run.

Teammate Alison Reichert was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
