SEATTLE - The Bainbridge High varsity tennis team will face off against Lakeside High for the Metro League title following a critical win over the O’Dea/Holy Names combo team Tuesday, May 6.

The final score was 6-5 Bainbridge.

“The Bainbridge High coed tennis team fought its way to victory and defeated the combined O’Dea boys and holy Names girls six matches to five to earn a spot in the Metro League Team Playoff Final against Lakeside,” explained Spartan Head Coach Mike Anderson. “The championship match is Wednesday, May 7 at Ingraham High School.”

Anderson said it was the Boys Doubles tandem of Noland Pelly and Nick Miner who clinched the win for Bainbridge.

Team co-captain Matt Alderson’s career record now stands at 68 wins against 11 losses, which puts him incredibly close to surpassing the Bainbridge career boys win leader Jacob Christensen (class of 2013) who managed 69 wins and 14 losses.

Fellow team co-captain Keet Curtis ran his record to a team best 12-1.
