SAMMAMISH - Bainbridge escaped with a 1-0 win against Eastside Catholic in girls fastpitch softball Wednesday, and slipped by the Crusaders thanks to the clutch pitching and batting of Deanha King.

King pitched the entire game for the Spartans and recorded six strikeouts.

At the plate, she went 1-for-3 and knocked in the only run of the game, a solo score by Riley Gregoire in the top of the fifth inning that was the decider in the Metro League matchup.

The big road win improved the Spartans record to 4-0 in the Metro League (4-1 overall).
