The week in Spartan sports
The Spartans return from spring break today to take the field against Rainier Beach at home.
The varsity baseball team, and the fastpitch team, welcome the Vikings to Bainbridge Monday, April 7. The first pitch for both games is at 4 p.m.
The Spartan "C" baseball team is on the road Monday, with a game against Cleveland at Rainier Beach High.
On Tuesday, April 9, the Spartans travel to Rainier Playfield to take on Franklin in varsity tennis. The match starts at 3:30 p.m.
The junior varsity tennis team hosts Franklin at home Tuesday. The start time is also 3:30 p.m.
Metro League action continues with the JV BHS baseball team playing host to Eastside Catholic at 4 p.m.
The Spartans girls fastpitch team travels to Sammamish to play Eastside Catholic at 4 p.m. Tuesday. It's a Bainbridge double header, with the varsity baseball team also facing EC in a game following at 6:30 p.m.
The Bainbridge girls lacrosse teams play at home against the Crusaders Wednesday, with the JV game starting at 6 p.m. and the varsity matchup following at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
On Thursday, April 10, the Spartan girls water polo team is scheduled to battle Enumclaw in Enumclaw.
The BHS JV boys soccer team travels for a meetup with Bishop Blanchet.
The Spartans host their second track meet of the season against Holy Names and O'Dea. The meet begins at 3:30 p.m.
Also Thursday, the Spartans play Seattle Prep in fastpitch softball. Game time is 4 p.m.
The Bainbridge boys "C" baseball team is scheduled to play South Kitsap at Marcus Whitman Junior High.
The varsity girls lacrosse team is also on the road, for a 5:30 p.m. contest against Holy Names at Magnuson Park in Seattle.
The Spartan boys soccer team is also home Thursday, for a Metro meeting with Bishop Blanchet at Memorial Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
On Friday, April 11, the varsity crew team is competing at a regatta in Eugene, Ore.
The sailing team is also away at a regatta, at Sand Point in Seattle.
The boys JV baseball team will play Eastside Catholic on their home field in Sammamish Friday.
Three Spartan squads will finish the week at home, however.
The varsity baseball team and the varsity fastpitch team play Eastside Catholic; both games start at 4 p.m.
The BHS boys lacrosse team welcomes Kennedy to Memorial Stadium. The contest starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday, April 12, members of the Spartan track team will compete in invitationals at Mount Tahoma Stadium and in North Kitsap.
The JV soccer team will face off against Central Kitsap at home, with an 11 a.m. start.
The varsity team will take on the Cougars in a match following at 1 p.m.
Finally, the Spartans "C" baseball team will play at home against O'Dea. The first pitch is at noon.
