SEATTLE - The Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team was barely edged out, despite a comeback mid-game tie, by Nathan Hale on the road Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The final score was 53-45 Nathan Hale.

BHS trailed badly in the first quarter, 16-5, but came out way ahead in the second with a quarter total of 21-10 to tie the game 26-26 at the end of the first half.

Then a big third quarter total of 19-9 pushed the Raiders significantly ahead and the Spartans found themselves unable to gain back the lost ground.

Joey Blacker scored a team best of 17 points during the game for Bainbridge, with Spartan teammates Oskar Dieterich (12 points) and Lyle Terry (10) not far behind.

Both Ben Beatie and Blake Swanson also managed to score three points each.
