Bainbridge Spartans boys basketball continues Metro League play this week with games against Bishop Blanchet Tuesday, Jan. 14 at home.

Tipoff for the Spartan boys varsity is at 7 p.m. in Paski Gymnasium. The Braves are currently 1-7 in Metro (4-7 overall), while the Spartans stand at 3-3 in conference play (7-4 overall).

The JV Spartans will take the court at 5:15 p.m.

The C Team will also battle Bishop Blanchet on Tuesday. Game time is 5:15 p.m. in the Commodore gym.

Also Tuesday, the Spartans travel to North Kitsap for a nonleague wrestling matchup against Kingston.

On Wednesday, the Spartan girls basketball teams welcome the Rams to Paski Gymnasium.

It will be a big test for Bainbridge. Bishop Blanchet currently sits atop the Metro's Mountain Division with a 6-1 record (9-2 overall) and is ranked at No. 4 in the state for 3A teams. The Spartans are second in the Sound Division, 4-2 (5-3 overall).

Tipoff for the JV game is at 5:15 p.m. The varsity girls play Blanchet at 7 p.m.

Bainbridge High will host Ingraham in wrestling Thursday, Jan. 16 on the rock. The match begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Spartan basketball teams head to Seattle on Friday, Jan. 17 for a double-header against Seattle Prep.

Action begins with the JV girls team at 3:15, followed by the boys JV game at 5:15 p.m.

Varsity play gets underway at 6:15 p.m. with the Bainbridge girls playing the struggling Panthers (3-5 Metro, 4-8 overall).

The boys varsity game against Prep (6-2, 8-4) is at 8 p.m.

The Bainbridge gymnastics team is also on the road Friday for a much anticipated matchup against Holy Names Academy.

The meet also features West Seattle, and is scheduled to take place at Metropolitan Gymnastics in Kent. Competition starts at 7 p.m.

Also Friday, the BHS boys swimming and diving team will face O'Dea at Medgar Evers Pool in Seattle. The meet begins at 3 p.m.

The Spartans will close out the week with a wrestling match on the road and a basketball double-header at home Saturday, Jan. 18.

BHS wrestlers head to Steilacoom, and the match starts at 10 a.m.

Paski Gymnasium will see an almost full day of basketball against West Seattle. JV action begins at 3:15 p.m. with the girls team, followed by the boys JV matchup at 4:45 p.m.

The girls varsity game against the Wildcats is at 6:15 p.m. West Seattle currently tops the Metro-Sound Division, with a 5-1 record (8-3 overall).

Tipoff for the Spartan boys varsity game against West Seattle (1-5, 4-6) is at 8 p.m.
