Lions slip by Spartans in boys Metro soccer

Lakeside escaped with a slim 2-1 win over the Spartans in boys varsity soccer Tuesday at Bainbridge Stadium.

The Spartans led early after a third minute-goal by Peter Fawley, but the Lions leapt back into the contest a minute later with a goal by Lakeside’s Charlie Devine.

The Lions took the lead with three minutes left in the contest after a score by Seyi Adekoya.

The win kept Lakeside perfect this year at 9-0 overall (5-0 Metro).
