Eastside Catholic upended Bainbridge 9-8 in overtime as the Crusaders picked up their fourth boys lacrosse win of the season Monday at Bainbridge Stadium.

Blake Lee scored the game-winner for Eastside Catholic with 2:52 remaining in the game.

The Spartans tested EC throughout.

Bainbridge took a 6-4 lead at the half following 3-2 quarters in the first and second.

The Crusaders regrouped in the third, however. EC held the Spartans scoreless while putting in three goals to forge a 7-6 lead before Bainbridge worked its way back in the fourth.

Then, with the Crusaders leading by a goal, Spartans’ senior attackman Jake Knostman beat Eastside goaltender Colin Schriever with 2:05 remaining in the game to force the overtime period.

Schriever finished with 26 saves for EC. Fellow Crusader Lee led all scorers with five goals.

The Spartans’ Knostman paced Bainbridge with four goals and also finished with four ground balls.

Jarrett Toy had two goals, one assist and one ground ball for the Spartans, while Kaegan Ingrasci contributed a goal and three ground balls. Sean Maier had a goal, an assist and two  ground balls.

Reynolds Yarbrough finished with seven saves for the Spartans.

Eastside Catholic improved to 4-1-0 with the victory, while Bainbridge fell to 4-5-0.
