***Cobbers spear Sharks in twinbill

The Cobb 15U baseball team swept Sunday’s doubleheader from the South Sound Sharks.

Cobb won the opener 12-1 in five innings as Barret Kanyer threw a two-hitter and went went 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Kevin Roach added four RBIs with a single and double.

Jeremy Ellison allowed just three hits in an 11-2 rout in the nightcap. Jonathon Rowan, Matt Frazee and Roach all had two hits, and the trio scored five runs and drove in six.

It was a different story on Saturday as the team gave up three first-inning runs to visiting Dow and managed just four hits in a 3-2 loss. Frazee had two singles and scored both runs.
