Playoff update -- Christensen sets school record

"Jeff Christensen set a new school record in the 100-yard butterfly at the 2A/3A Washington State Swimming and Diving Championships as the Spartans scored 72 points overall. Christensen's time was 53.29, good for sixth place. Earlier he swam 22.34 for seventh in the 50 free.Zander Burmer was 7th in diving with a score of 317.80.Andrew Sperling was 6th in consolation finals in the 100 free in 50.32.The 200 free relay team of Jeff Christensen, Erik Steinecker, Nick Rodda and Sperling was second in the consolation finals in 1:32.55The 400 free relay team of Jeff Christensen, Jacob Whitmore, Steinecker, and Sperling won the Consolation finals in 3:22.89.******Mike Roe placed sixth in the 145-pound weight class at the State Wrestling Tournament. Brandon Nall (130) won his first match, but lost the next two so he didn't place.******Stephanie Hylen scored 32.675 in all-around at the State Gymnastics Championships. Beam: 7.75. Bars: 7.325. Vault: 8.6. Floor exercise: 9.0. Teammate Jessica Borgen scored 7.95 in the vault. "
