Bainbridge breezes past West Seattle in regular season wrestling finale

Bainbridge swept past West Seattle 60-15 in the Spartans' last Metro wrestling meet of the regular season.

Action on the mat was limited with the Wildcats. Ten of the 13 matches were decided by forfeits.

The first two went West Seattle's way, with Ryland Joseph (106-pound class) and Anthony Tran (113) collecting forfeit victories.

The Wildcats then won the first contested battle, with Nick Marek (120) prevailing with a 5-1 decision over Jonathan Gallivan of Bainbridge.

The Spartans then won out the rest of the Metro matchup.

Bainbridge's Chaney Weaver (126) pinned Mathew Morris in 1:46.

Liam Topham (138) also won with a pin for Bainbridge Island in his match against James Bonaci.

Jack Miller (132), Dylan Read (145), Alex Hoover (152), Bryce MacDonald (160), Weber Coryell (170), Tyler Moniz (182), John Zhang (195) and Mike Grant (220) all finished with forfeit wins.
