Bainbridge drubs Rogers in boys hoops

The Bainbridge Spartans boys basketball team finished the week with a 60-52 non-conference win against Rogers Saturday.

The Spartans led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and played the Rams — Bainbridge Coach Scott Orness’ alma mater — even in the second.

BHS started to pull away in the third quarter and outscored Rogers 19-16 in the final stanza.

Joey Blacker and Oskar Dieterich both scored 15 in the contest for the Spartans.

Trent Schulte chipped in 13, and fellow Spartan Nick Edens added eight.

Blake Swanson finished with four for BHS, while Riley Irish and Greg Shea added two each. Peter Lindsey also scored a point for the Spartans.
