Bainbridge buries Rainier Beach in girls basketball

The Spartans shot the lights out and Bainbridge beat Rainier Beach 71-46 in girls basketball Wednesday in Seattle.

Bainbridge outscored the Vikings 20-5 in the first quarter and led 38-14 at the break.

Rainier Beach's offense started to find itself in the third, but the Spartans continued to dominate and led 55-26 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Eight Spartans scored in the Metro League matchup, and four hit double digits.

Julie Feikes led the Spartans with 14 points.

Grace Kenyon and Nancy Karreman both finished with 12 points for BHS. Paige Brigham added 11.

Fellow Spartans Sydney Severson chipped in eight points and Kate Useliss, six points.

Maddie Ketcheside taxed the twine for six, and Syndey Gibbs contributed two for Bainbridge.
