BIGC girls score high

The Bainbridge Island club girls’ gymnastics team competed at the 2008 George Lewis Aloha Invitational held at Seattle Pacific University last weekend.

On the level 4 team, Morgan Dierickx tied for second place on the vault with a 9.0 while Jianna Kaufman took fourth place.

Mia Bruzzo was named Most Valuable Gymnast with an all-around score of 28.3.

Kaufman has qualified to sectionals while Bruzzo and Dierickx qualified one of two scores to sectionals.

On the level 6 team, Chloe Seferos took fourth place with an all around score of 33.35 and was named Most Valuable Gymnast.

Seferos also placed third on floor with an 8.7 and tied for fourth on vault with an 8.55 while Sarah Rice took third place on vault with an 8.65.

Rice and Miller Shor qualified one of two scores to sectionals.
