Central Kitsap hands Spartans loss at home

Bainbridge battled Central Kitsap to a 15-all draw in the first half, but the Cougars clawed out a win Wednesday in girls basketball with a 25-point second half.

The Spartans fell 40-32 at home for the first time this season.

Central Kitsap led 26-22 at the end of the third quarter, and outscored the Spartans 14-10 in the final stanza.

Five Spartans scored in the game.

Sydney Severson paced Bainbridge with 11 points.

Grace Kenyon added eight, and Paige Brigham and Julie Feikes contributed five points each. Maddie Ketcheside finished with three.
