Seattle Prep scored two goals in the waning minutes against the Spartans to steal away a 3-2 victory Tuesday night in girls soccer at Bainbridge High Stadium.

The Panthers, the two-time defending 3A champs, scored first after Samantha Hiatt converted a corner kick into a 1-0 lead in the second minute of play.

It was the only goal of the first half, despite several close shots on goal by Bainbridge.

The Spartans tied the game in the 41st minute after Natalie Vukic nailed the net with an assist from Riley Gregoire.

Bainbridge jumped to a 2-1 lead when Rosie Kerstetter scored a goal with an assist from Claire Marcum in the 46th minute.

The Panthers got two quick goals near the end of the game to escape with the win.

Katie O'Neil evened the score at 2-2 with a goal in the 78th minute, and Mary Ann Santucci put the game away for Seattle Prep with another goal at the 79th minute.
