The Spartans picked up their first win of the football season by shellacking the Kingston Buccaneers 43-6 Friday night in Kingston.

Bainbridge jumped out to a 29-0 lead by halftime, fueled by a 65-yard touchdown run by Matt Stone and a 42-yard TD reception by Alex Coplan from Paimon Jaberi in the first quarter, and a 1-yard touchdown run by Max Wysong and a 2-yard TD catch by Nick Bierly in the second.

Stone picked up his second touchdown run in the third quarter, barreling in from seven yards out. Junior running back Ben Kussie punched in the final touchdown for Bainbridge in the fourth, and also added the Spartans' final point of the night with the point-after kick.

The Spartans (1-1) will next face Black Hills at home on Sept. 14.
