Spartans will face Mercer Island in final four

The Bainbridge High girls lacrosse team will face Mercer Island in the semifinals next week.

Mercer Island beat Issaquah 21-10 at Skyline High Friday to move to the final four.

The Spartans finished the regular season 12-1-1, and the team's only tie of the season — a 15-15 draw — came against Mercer Island in the second game of the season.

The Bainbridge-Mercer Island matchup is May 15; a location has not yet been announced.

The winner will go to the Washington Lacrosse Girls State Championship game, and play either Lakeside or Lake Sammamish.

Lake Sammamish defeated Snohomish 17-9 to advance to the semifinals; Lakeside swamped Seattle Prep 17-5 to move to the final four.

Lake Sammamish plays Lakeside May 15 at Lakeside.
