Bainbridge Island Rowing notches early wins at Brentwood Regatta

Bainbridge Island rowers are off to a strong start at the 42nd annual Brentwood Regatta this weekend in Mill Bay, B.C.
In six heats yesterday afternoon, Bainbridge placed third or above in all six, qualifying for today's finals in five of the six.
In the finals Saturday morning at Brentwood College School, the varsity girls 8+ took 16 seconds off their heat time and came in first, while the novice girls 8+ shaved off two seconds to also take first.
Results through Saturday:
First place: A varsity women 8+.
First place: A novice women 8+.
Fourth place: B novice women 4x+.
Fifth place: A varsity men 8+.
Fifth place: A novice men 8+.
Thirteen more heats are scheduled for Sunday, concluding at 7 p.m.
