Almost unstoppable.

There’s no other way to describe the Bainbridge Island FC ’00 Blue select soccer team.

The team finished the year with a season record of 26-3-3, topped with a Puget Sound Premier League Championship after a 6-1 win against Emerald City Green in Seattle.

Bainbridge Island FC officials said the boys broke all expectations as they just kept on winning in their 2011/2012 soccer season.

They were the Skagit Firecracker Tournament Champions, Crossfire Cup Tournament Champions, runners-up at the Island Cup Tournament and in the North Puget Sound League Gold Division, and also Puget Sound Premiere League spring champs.

The team broke all scoring records to finish with 132 goals scored (and had just 47 goals against) in 32 games.

The club has been producing quality soccer teams for several years, but this year’s BU-11s have set the bar to a new standard of which the club is very proud.

“The players have been outstanding all year long; the winning is just the by product of motivated players working hard and learning the game,” said Phil Avison, the team coach and the club’s director of player development.
