Club tumblers bring home gold
The Bainbridge Island Gymnastics Club had several gymnasts bring home medals from their season-ending meets.
At the Level 4 state championship meet May 7-8 in Bellevue, Maria Gallavan won the Level 4 Senior Division all-around title. She also won the bars event and took second in the vault, beam and floor exercises.
Sarah Jung placed ninth in the all-around and took fifth in the vault while Emma Chee finished 13th in the all-around and finished fourth on the bars and sixth on the beam. Alyssa Rassmussen took ninth on the floor and 19th in the all-around.
In the Junior Division, Sydney Johnson finished fifth in the all-around and placed fourth in bars. Kegan Daniels took 11th in the all-around while Cate Shelton-Jenck finished sixth on the floor and 19th in the all-around.
At the Level 5 state championship April 30-May 1 in Pasco, Morgan Dierickx won the bars title and took 12th in the all-around. Remi Rosencrans finished 11th in the all-around and placed sixth on the bars.
