Letters to the Editor
To the editor: It’s unfortunate that in this country most cats and dogs that enter an animal shelter never make it out. Despite the efforts of humane societies and rescue groups to help reduce the animal overpopulation, 3.5 million companion animals are being euthanized annually. How can this be in a developed country like ours? It is unacceptable.
Community Events, December 2014
To the editor: Well, I never thought the Bainbridge City Council would change who I am but it has finally managed to turn me into an outraged taxpayer.
To the editor: I read with some dismay the article by Tina Dupuy, dated Dec. 6, wherein she strives to portray Christmas as a “laughable” invention of secularists, to discredit our Christian national heritage, and to assail all things Christian.
To the editor: I would like to extend my sincere thank you and congratulations to Althea Paulson and Bob Fortner for caring enough about our city to expose wrongdoing, even at enormous time and expense to themselves. From the articles I have read, apparently, one council member not only refused to turn over personal emails that related to city business but also lied about it; while the other member is hiding behind his constitutional rights by refusing to turn over similar documents and clearly breaking state law.
To the editor: Peter Brady is correct, I-594 is “Chicken Little.”
