Linda Gabriel, a candidate for Kitsap PUD Commissioner, is right for Bainbridge Island. Her ideas about enhancing broadband service here through the PUD partnering with existing service providers can help all our families and businesses finally get broadband service.

One-third of Bainbridge homes and businesses do not have Internet service faster than dial-up, says a recent city-published study. The PUD authority to provide wholesale broadband could help overcome this “digital divide.”

The PUD has a water resource planning responsibility for the county, including the island. Gabriel’s thoughtful approach is for the community to determine its needs and the PUD to commit to helping Bainbridge with planning and other services to meet our water service needs.

A vote for Linda Gabriel is a vote for enhanced water resource planning and other cooperative services between Kitsap PUD and Bainbridge Island.
