Vote for islander running for KPUD commissioner | Letters | July 23
July 23, 2010 · 11:09 AM
The upcoming primary election has, as usual, some not too well publicized contests but which are important to the citizenry. One of these is the race for Kitsap Public Utilities District.
The current holder of one position has decided to run again. A Bainbridge Island resident with vast experience in this field has also filed. Many of you know Arlene Buetow from her many years in charge of the North Kitsap Water District.
She is well versed in water matters and also knowledgeable of Broad-band, which KPUD has become interested in involving itself more.
Ms. Buetow feels that water should be the top priority of the KPUD, and feels strongly that Bainbridge Island should have representation on this body.
Please consider casting your vote for Arlene – she will do an excellent job for Bainbridge and for the county.
