Walk MS raised nearly $100,000 this year | Letters | May 28

On behalf of the many islanders who deal with multiple sclerosis on a daily basis, we would like to express our appreciation to the residents of Bainbridge Island and surrounding areas for supporting the Island’s fourth annual Walk MS.
With over 300 joyful walkers on 31 teams, $97,613 was raised (the most ever!) compared to $66,537 in 2009! Especially in light of the challenging economy, this was a wonderful accomplishment!
We would especially like to recognize our wonderful committee and team captains, the Bainbridge High School custodians, the police department, the Island Fitness staff, Pegasus Coffee House, Bainbridge Island Barbeque, Bon Bon Confections and our generous community sponsors, Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic, Island Health and Rehab, Ihland Garden Dental and the ManTech Corporation.
See you next year on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Trude and Mike Lisagor
