City still doesn't have any money | Letters | Dec. 18

Since Alan Simcoe in his Dec. 4 letter called me out by name, I would like the opportunity to respond to him in print.
Alan Simcoe, you forgot Reason #4: COBI does not have the money. Taxpayers are stretched to the max. See the concurrent Review article: “Sewer rates in Winslow to increase 111 percent.”
As to my own bona fides re support for the arts, I am right now a member of an island arts committee for a nonprofit organization planning to acquire hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of art in bronze, glass, stone, oil, steel, wood, etc.
And exactly zero dollars will come from taxpayer funds.
Artists who are creative, can be creative.
