Kirsten, a council candidate in the South Ward, has a long history of involvement as an activist and informed citizen on Bainbridge Island. She has spent countless hours researching, listening, attending committee and council meetings, and contributing her well-reasoned comments.

She is not a newcomer to the City Council; you can see her at most council meetings and at many committee and municipal meetings. She is a founder of Green Voices, a moderator for Island Moms and an advocate for the stewardship of our island and the quality of life we value on this rock.

I worked with Kirsten on the recent campaign to change the form of government. I quickly understood that she looked at all sides of the issues with astute intelligence, gave voice to community concerns that she had heard, was passionate about informing the community about the campaign, and she looked for proactive solutions both short- and long-term.
