We unhesitatingly endorse Tim Jacobsen for City Council. He is the only candidate who is a financial professional. There are no existing council members or candidates, other than Tim, who are financial professionals. As a CPA for more than 35 years, he is also a business owner of his own practice, and therefore a practical and pragmatic decision-maker.

He’s a rational problem-solver who’s open to hearing reasonable evidence for a sound decision. His style, manner and approach to problems is positive. He is very familiar with the issues facing the city. He also has heart and commitment to the community. Tim has been the leader and president of Boys and Girls Club board. He won an award as board member of the year last year.

He has also been the very capable chair of the city’s Salary Commission.

We think he will be a knowledgeable and solid addition to our City Council.
