I am a Woodward student who is concerned about the trash problem on Bainbridge. My proposal is that people who live near or have easy access to a beach head down and pick up any kind of trash they see.

Picking up trash can help in may ways: wildlife does not consume the sometimes toxic materials; swimming in Puget Sound is more enjoyable without floating debris; and rusty cans or other metal objects could injure beachgoers.

Please do not wait to do you part.
