Thank Rockefeller, Rofles for action | Letters | Feb. 27

Islanders owe thanks to Rep. Christine Rolfes and Sen. Phil Rockefeller for their swift and expert action in securing passage of a bill to allow a May vote on the initiative to change our city’s form of government. Absent their effort we’d be voting in November to elect a mayor while simultaneously deciding whether to continue to have a mayor.
Our current governmental circumstances offer enough confusion as it is; thanks to Rep. Rolfes and Sen. Rockefeller we shall at least have a clear opportunity to determine if structural change can help resolve at least some of our city’s difficulties.
If you want to express your thanks to them directly, their e-mail addresses are rolfes.christine@leg.wa.gov and rockefeller.phil@leg.wa.gov.
