To the editor:

The sixth annual July 4th Fireworks show over Eagle Harbor is not only a time honored celebration of our country’s birthday – but an acknowledgement of the men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping us free and safe.

It is also a testimony of the enduring spirit of our community, and a celebration of the quality of life here on Bainbridge Island. We all gather together at this time of year to rally support for a professionally delivered fireworks display that everyone on Bainbridge Island can enjoy – safely - over beautiful Eagle Harbor.

This year the Bainbridge Fireworks Organization is setting a goal of $31,000 to produce an even better show than last year. But we need your help and support! Without the generous contributions of local businesses as well as private citizens over the past five years, the fireworks celebration would not be possible. Past sponsors of this annual event can be viewed on the organization’s web site at www.bainbridgefireworks.org under the 2013 Sponsors tab.

If you are one of these “local heroes” and would like to be part of making this wonderful finale to a day full of events, please contact us via email at info@BainbridgeFireworks.org

If you would like to make a donation to this year’s fireworks event you can visit the website and make your donation via PayPal, or you can mail a check to Bainbridge Fireworks at 1175 High School Road, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110, or you can make a direct donation in-person (checks only) at Chase Bank, 231 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.

In the meantime, please watch your local paper as well as our website for a listing of our significant supporters of the 2014 event – make sure you stop by their establishments or acknowledge them when you see them on the streets for their continued support of the annual Fireworks event. Let them know that this type of celebration is an important part of your summer activities!
