To the editor:

I just came home from seeing the Ovation! production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and was blown away by what I saw.

I have had the pleasure of seeing the original production of JCS with Ted Neeley performing as Christ two times, one of them with Carl Anderson in the role of Judas.

I have also had the wonderful opportunity of seeing Yvonne Elliman perform live.

The actors of tonight’s performance would have definitely given the originals a run for their money. No, it is not a million dollar extravaganza, but Ovation! has once again proven that they can attract a high level of actors to its troupe and that through the direction of Ron and Marijane Milton, they can put on a show that is very much worth seeing.

Bravo to Ovation! and the entire cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” I will definitely go and see you all again before the finale!
