For your kids’ sake, put down the phone | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

February 15, 2013 · Updated 9:31 AM

To the editor:

In the last week I witnessed two mothers with a baby in their arms. They also had a small toddler walking alone without a hand in busy parking lots. One was in the Safeway parking lot and the other was the pool parking lot.

The reason the toddlers were walking alone? The mothers were on their cell phones!

What could be that important that you put your kids in danger? Please put down the phone! We would all feel terrible if one of them were hit by a car.
